Heartland began with the passion to live life in small group relationship, knowing others and being known. When we connect into church community, we give ourselves the best opportunity to grow and be shaped by others on a journey toward God. It is in small group community where we learn, serve, pursue God, and develop lifelong friendships like no other place in this world.
If you are new to church and to God or have been around a while, small groups are for everyone no matter where you are at in your spiritual journey. Everyone has a place to belong.
Whether you are on your own or have a spouse, are a student, a growing family, facing an empty nest, or well into enjoying retirement, we have a range of small groups that gather around various life stages. Groups generally meet in homes and have 8-12 people who attend weekly or every other week.
If you have any questions please let us know. We would love to help you Connect in Community!
God has done significant work in Barry's life. He passionately loves the Lord and enthusiastically enjoys serving Him. After many years with Youth For Christ then church planting in Edmonton, Barry headed into the construction industry. He and his family have attended Heartland since the very first service at Festival Place. In 2006, he was welcomed onto the Heartland Staff and truly enjoys being a part of the work God is doing here. Barry has been married to his wife Lori-Anne since 1993 and they have five children. Barry enjoys construction projects, playing games, and sports of most kinds - although his favorite by far is football.
