Welcome to Grade 5-6 at Heartland Alliance Church!

At Heartland, we call our Grade 5-6 Students – 56ers.  We believe this is one of the most pivotal age groups in the church as these kids are at a key transitional phase in their young lives.  They are moving away from being little kids who follow and trust everything that is put in front of them and moving towards becoming independent adolescents who are asking important questions about who they are and who God is?

It is because of this unique time in their lives that it is important to have a specific area focusing on 56ers.  Within this area, the kids will have some familiar experiences from their Children’s Program days but there will also be new experiences to help prepare them for being part of the broader Youth Program when they enter Grade 7.

The 56ers have a small group/classroom experience during every weekend service with the exception of Family Service weekends and Refuge Takeover weekends.  They also have a once-a-month Friday event throughout the school year just for their age group that is fun and will help build a group community.  56ers can also participate in a bi-weekly Small Group on Monday nights at the church. There is a group for the boys and a group for the girls.

If you have children in Grade 5-6, we invite you to come be part of our community! Register today.

56ers starts on September 7/8

During the summer, our regular Weekend Grade 5-6 programming takes a break.

We encourage Grade 5-6 kids to do one of three things:
- Attend the Refuge Service and Event on Saturday nights. This helps get grade 6 kids get ready for life as a grade 7 student come September. For grade 5 kids, it gives them a taste of what is to come.
- Serve in Preschool during the summer. You can email Kaitlyn to get signed up.
- Attend church with your parents.
