Here at Heartland, in Women’s Ministry, we’re passionate about three main things: women going deeper in their relationship with God, women going deeper in relationships with each other, and women sharing of the goodness of God in their places of influence.

What do these things look like and how do they happen? Well, God is endlessly creative!
  • He loves to engage with us as we read the Bible.
  • He loves to speak to us as we grow in listening to His voice.
  • He loves to bring freedom and healing to our hearts by the power of His Holy Spirit.
  • He loves to use our stories and experiences to encourage and build each other up and we believe that these things happen best in community.
  • We were made to live life together!

There are several ways as women to get involved in community here at Heartland. Look at the options below and consider if any might be a good fit for you.

Heart to Heart is a women-only group that meets Wednesday mornings from 9:30 - 11:00 and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 - 8:30. It's an opportunity to connect with other women and grow in your relationship with God.

Childcare is provided on Wednesday mornings.

Life Groups are where we live out what it means to be the church as we do real life together. We invite you to investigate which small group best fits you or your family at this stage of life. Everyone has a place to belong, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey.

CONNEX GROUPS

EXPLORING TRUTH TOGETHER

Connex Groups are for those who are new to Small Groups or have other commitments that keep them from joining a Life Group. They are a shorter term Life Group experience. Connex Groups allow you to explore small group community over a 6- to 12-week term.

Join us in the East Auditorium for a special night of women worshiping together, praising the Lord for all He has done and about to do in and through this body of believers.

Pastor of Women & Administration
Joy attended Canadian Bible College and graduated with a Bachelor of Religious Education in 2000. This is where she met Craig and they married in 2001. Joy joined the Heartland team in 2017 and brings with her 14 years of ministry experience. One of Joy’s greatest passions is seeing women experience the freedom and joy that comes from knowing and believing how deeply loved they are by God. Joy loves spending time with Craig and their two teenagers among many other things such as reading, hiking and coffee with friends.

Yolande Tkachyk

Director of Women's Ministry
Yolande has been involved at Heartland since the very beginning. She served alongside her husband Danny in Junior High Youth and later served together as small group leaders. She began working at Heartland in 2013 and is thankful to work with so many amazing ladies in Women’s Ministry. She enjoys playing slow pitch in the summer and hanging out with her family. Yo and Danny have three wonderful adult children, Kayla (Eric), Josh and Nicole.
