Heartland Kids

| It is a blessing for us in Heartland Kids to serve the children and families of our church by providing a safe and welcoming place for kids to be every weekend. The Parent Rotation exists to support the serving team members and staff who serve regularly in this ministry. It works by having 1 parent or guardian from each family serve for 4 services of their choosing over the course of one year. Parents are there to support the lead teacher, help kids settle into classrooms, play games, and ensure that they feel welcome. Parents are not asked to be the lead teacher. If you are new to Heartland Alliance Church–Hi! We are so glad you’re here. Please spend the next 6 months getting to know our church family and our Heartland Kids Team! Once you have attended Heartland for 6 months and your children have been attending Heartland Kids regularly, you will be contacted through email to join the Parent Rotation. If you have a new addition to your family, we encourage you to take a 12-month reprieve from the rotation as you bond with your new family. |
What does it look like to join the Parent Rotation?
| Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the service begins to check in, meet staff and other serving team members and find your classrooms. Our staff are available to help you with any questions you may have. Our services typically run just over an hour. As soon as the children in your class are picked up you are free to go! Parents/Guardians are asked to serve 4 times per ministry year. Listed below are the requirements to complete the registration:
Heartland Kids Team The Heartland Kids Team consists of staff, serving team members, and the Parent Rotation. We are so thankful that so many children are attending Heartland Kids each weekend. This does highlight the fact that we need more adults to be able to open classes at all weekend services. By serving on the Parent Rotation, you help us to schedule our serving team members and staff where they are most needed. Your presence in our classroom helps to provide consistency and offers an opportunity to connect with the children of our church and the teachers who serve faithfully. It also provides opportunities to meet other parents experiencing similar life stages, gain an up-close understanding of what your child is learning, and model Christ-like attributes for the children in our care. We want to partner with you as you raise your children. We know parenting can stretch us in so many ways and we need wisdom from God and encouragement from each other. Our hope is that the Parent Rotation would be a blessing to your family as you care for others and are cared for in return. |
